For the Wayuu culture to make not only has economic value but is a sign of their world, life and the influence of religion attached to each product. Among the wide range of crafts from this community can be highlighted backpacks, hammocks, blankets and among others, the hat known as the Womu.

Initially hats were made in two tones, which combined the fibers in their natural color with other black or red, obtained with natural dyes. In recent years the Wayuu have applied oil paint to extend the range of colors, which combine in one hat.
